In the spring, CFMS celebrates 8th Grade Spirit Days as part of our monthly school-wide Spirit Day tradition. On these designated days, 8th grade students may wear “fundamentally appropriate” shorts—shorts that are within 3 inches of the kneeonly when the correct spirit shirt is worn.

For all 8th Grade Spirit Days, students must wear the official 8th Grade T‑shirt to participate. Shorts may not be worn with any other shirt style on these days.

Spirit Day Expectations:

  • Shorts must meet the school’s fundamental dress expectation (within 3" of the knee).
  • Shorts may be worn only when paired with approved School Spirit Wear, including school-branded shirts or hoodies.
  • Participation is encouraged but not required.

These days are a fun way for 8th grade students to show class pride while following CFMS dress guidelines.
